There are four places to eat at Hatters Way Retail Park in Luton: Nando’s, KFC, Popeyes and Chaiiwala. All four are on the park itself, off Chaul End Lane, and all four hold the top food hygiene rating of 5. A McDonald’s sits on Chaul End Lane next to the park.

We checked the Food Standards Agency register for every food business at the park’s postcode, LU4 8FD, and the opening hours on each operator’s own branch page, on 17 October 2026.

Nando’s Hatters Way

Nando’s opened at the park in 2022 and calls it its second halal restaurant in Luton. Its branch page lists eat in, collection and delivery, halal-friendly chicken, wheelchair access, baby changing and wi-fi. It does not take online bookings for eating in. Nando’s says the site is just off the M1, 10 minutes from the football stadium, with free parking and several bus routes stopping nearby (Nando’s).

Opening hours: 11am to 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Its latest inspection, on 11 September 2026, gave it a 5 (FSA). The register lists it under the name “Nando’s Chickenland”.

KFC Hatters Way

KFC is the late option. The restaurant and the drive-thru are both open from 10am to 2am every day, and delivery runs from 10am to 1.45am, according to KFC’s branch page. KFC says this branch is 100% halal certified and serves its vegan range.

Popeyes Hatters Way

Popeyes opened its second Luton restaurant at Unit 3 on Friday 21 February 2025, its 71st in the UK. It has 68 indoor seats, self-service kiosks and collection points for online orders, and opened with hours of 8am to 10pm every day (The Lutonian, 19 February 2025). Popeyes’ own site does not show branch hours in a form we could read, so treat those as the opening hours rather than today’s.

Hygiene rating 5, last inspected 26 March 2025 (FSA).

Chaiiwala Hatters Way

Chaiiwala at Unit 7B, next door to Nando’s, is the breakfast option, opening at 8am every day. It closes at 11pm Sunday to Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday (Chaiiwala). The menu is karak chai and desi street food. It is one of three Chaiiwala branches in Luton, with the others in The Mall and airside at the airport. See its listing in our directory.
