Free Mini Apple Day on Saturday 10 October and free fireworks at Popes Meadow on 7 November, plus 38 more dated Luton events with times and prices.

The six weeks from Monday 5 October run from a free apple day by the river to the town’s free fireworks and on to mid-November. The two dates to put in the diary first are Luton Mini Apple Day on Saturday 10 October and Luton Rising’s Fireworks Spectacular at Popes Meadow on Saturday 7 November. Between them sits October half term, Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, with a children’s show at the Hat Factory almost every day and the free Big Draw across three venues.

Updated 6 October: COBO’s Black History Month comedy night on 10 October has sold out; The Soul of Afghanistan is now £16.50 in advance; Tez Ilyas has added a 5pm matinee; Made You Look on 8 October no longer appears on the Culture Trust’s listings, so it has been taken off this page; seven new dates added, including the Big Draw and the Phoenix Players’ farewell show.

Everything below comes from the organisers’ own listings, re-read on 6 October 2026, and every entry links back to its source so you can check before you set off. Prices are given only where the organiser publishes them. Luton Library Theatre lists most of its shows without prices, so use its booking links for those. For places that are open whatever the month, see our guide to things to do in Luton.

Getting there

The Hat Factory, Hat Gardens and the Library Theatre are within a few minutes’ walk of each other and of Luton station, so one trip covers most of the town centre listings. Wardown House is in Wardown Park, north of the centre, and Stockwood Discovery Centre is off London Road to the south. If you are driving, our parking in Luton page has the car parks and the evening charge, and the roadworks and travel page has current closures.
